TRAUMA STUDIO is a collective which operates in a wide range of electronic and digital arts, varying from video production and distribution to the more recent expressions of visual arts, from the evolution of performing arts to studio producing of electronic music.
Trauma Studio is a laboratory dedicated to the artists, the technicians and the curious, where one can meet, share experiences, develop projects and find/invent the instruments necessary to realize them.
This project manifests a specific way to create art today, spreading culture and producing information, denying author's rights in favor of new systems of sharing peer-to-peer, of open-source softwares and of copyleft productions. An open project, promoter of collaborations and contacts on an international level.
NODE FEST is the main experimental product of Trauma Studio. The first two editions of the festival in 2008 and in 2009 travelled through Italy from north to south, moving more than 200 artists in 2 years and receiving excellent response from the public. The 2010 edition of Node Fest again proposes an electronic and digital nomadic event, but this time it willl go beyond the Italian borders to become an international happening.
Three cities in three different countries, European and non: on March the 20th-21st in PARIS, on April the 2nd-3rd in ISTANBUL; and on April the 16th-17th in ROME, for our huge closing event/party. Art exhibits and documentary projections, live-sets and dj-sets, live performances and multimedial installations, in an enormous joint show dedicated to electronic avante-garde, to underground digital productions and to the more contaminated and transversal forms of art expressions. This nomadic anthology will propose the projects, the products and the works realized by artists, structures, productions and records who are afferming themselves in the countries visited this year.
In conclusion, Node Fest is confirmed once again in 2010 as an important moment of intercultural exchange, besides being a distinctive and international artistic appointment.
